The customer experienced too high labor costs and too low quality on a single-sided edge banding machine, which were at the same time challenged on capacity. They wanted to replace it with a better variant with higher capacity, which could be operated by a single man.

We gave the customer some suggestions from different suppliers on a single-sided edge glue, which the customer appreciated, as the customer was not tied to one supplier. In addition, we also made a return run, which ensured a higher throughput speed.

The customer invested in a one-sided edge limer from IMA, as quality and price were better compared to the alternative suppliers, which were cheaper. This was a better investment for the customer, as the repayment was only 2.5 years and the ergonomics and quality of the machine were better.
