Colour Compagniet A/S took on the task of recycling floorboards from an apartment block, which was the start of an exciting development project. As their old plasterer was too small and outdated for the job, they invested in a new second-hand plasterer that was bigger, faster and able to handle the complexity of the floorboards.

For the customer, the investment in a used machine was both financially beneficial and in line with their environmental values of reducing environmental impact.

The upcycling process for the floorboards is that the old boards are sanded and then painted to make them "new" and beautiful again, ready to be "reused" in new buildings. It's not just the boards that have been given a new life in this project. Even the customer's old plasterer has found a new destination at another company, where it will serve a new purpose.

The customer is very satisfied with the implemented solution, with the new machine working flawlessly and producing significantly less noise than the old machine. This has significantly improved the working environment and production process for the customer.

Nicholaisen's role in the project was to understand and meet the customer's specific needs. Through close collaboration, we ensured that the solution not only fit the customer's values and budget, but also delivered the desired functionality and efficiency.
