The vision was to ensure drying of hardwood from fresh to furniture dry under 100% controlled conditions and to ensure the least possible damage to the raw wood and thereby impairment.

At the same time, the process should be carried out with the least possible climate footprint with a focus on the lowest possible energy consumption, in other words maximising quality and minimizing resource use.

The starting point was the supplier's already advanced technology platform for controlling and monitoring all parameter during drying below:

• Relative humidity in the chamber.
• Control of heat, air velocities, measuring points in the wood and ventilation.
• WIFI measuring points for flexible placement throughout the chamber.
• Power-saving inverter technology that regulates speeds and dampers.
• Heat exchanger that takes advantage of exhaust heat.
• Extra and optimized insulation.

The project also resulted in a new software feature "STOP & GO", which ensures that drying stops during climatization of the raw tree and special needles for greater safety in measurements in the raw wood.

The entire drying can be documented for quality assurance including energy consumption and e.g. energy consumption. Heat treatment.

Since the introduction of the latest generation, a capacity of more than 2,000 m³has been installed. The results are convincing in terms of both quality and reduced energy consumption.
